Custom orthotics are specialized devices designed to improve alignment, provide support, and alleviate foot pain. They are commonly used to treat conditions such as:

  1. Plantar fasciitis
  2. Bursitis
  3. Calluses
  4. Tendonitis
  5. Bunions & hammer toes
  6. Diabetic foot ulcers
  7. General foot, ankle, and heel pain

Adjusting to Your Orthotics

To ensure comfort and effectiveness, it’s important to break in your orthotics gradually:

  1. Start with 2 hours on Day 1, increasing by 1 hour daily until full-day wear is achieved.
  2. If discomfort occurs, wear them for shorter intervals and gradually increase wear time.
  3. Adjustments may be necessary after 3-4 weeks, and we offer a 6-month adjustment period for modifications.

Caring for Your Orthotics

  1. Clean with mild soap and warm water, then air dry.
  2. Avoid exposure to high heat (heaters, dryers, fireplaces).
  3. Under normal use, orthotics last 1-5 years. Annual check-ups help ensure proper function.

Maximizing Effectiveness

Orthotics provide essential support but should be used alongside:

  1. Stretching & strengthening exercises as recommended.
  2. Proper footwear—ensure you have supportive shoes before your fitting.
